I wanted to use my tablet to draw something today, but it appears to be having driver issues and has decided not to work.

I drew this heart with my Nintendo DS, instead. It looked much better on its tiny, little screen.

Sorry about the absence. I had family-oriented holiday stuff to do and then my website went down due to server issues.

Here’s a neat little image I made with Music Painter. It’s a program that bases brush-strokes off of the music vibrations that you load into it. The song I used for this image was “Warts” by DVDA.

I got some Sculpey III 010 Translucent and some Premo! Sculpey 5323 Green, because I wanted to test out just how translucent this kind of polymer clay would be once cooked.

It ended up being not very translucent at all. Especially, because I baked it for too long and it ended up yellowing. Whoops.

I also learned, for next time I use this stuff, that I have to refrigerate the polymer clay before I use it, or it will pretty much melt in my hands as I try to work it. Which is very strange, because you bake it to make it harden.

Incidentally, I have no idea what the difference between Sculpey III and Premo! Sculpey is. They have about the same texture and they have the same bake temperature and bake length.

I’ve been messing around with fractal rendering again. Since I reinstalled everything on my computer, rendering time has been greatly lessened, so I can make more fractals in less time. This is good for whe I just want to mess around with the program to see what it can do.

This one reminds me of when I was little and I would watch thunderstorms at night. I really enjoyed the way that the clouds lit up.

The harshness of straight lines combined with the softness of curly lines creates a dichotomy of disparate… lines.

These are like fire-flowers. It would be fun to roast some marshmallows over some fire-flowers. I will use science to make this a reality.

This fractal took almost 3 hours to render. I’m not really sure why it took that long. It’s neat looking, though.

This one makes me think of one of those crazy star charts that they use on science fiction shows.

Argh! It’s pink hay! I must mainline some Loratadine!

I Have Defeated NaBloPoMo

With this post, I have officially posted for every day this month and have defeated NaBloPoMo. I’d like to thank all of the wonderful internet people, that I’ve met, for being so awesome. This month has been crazy!

I have definitely learned that I can refrain from being lazy, if I try hard enough. I also tried out a lot of new art concepts this month. It was a very good experience.

Here’s to hoping that I win one of the prizes. I’d really like a Sock Zombie.

The Lump is Taking Shape

I’ve started carving the cement lump. It still doesn’t look like much, though and the cement is a bit more crumbly than I’d like, but I still think it will turn out well. See if you can guess what it’s supposed to be.

In other news, I haven’t finished knitting a sweater I started in January and it’s cold again. The only piece I’ve finish for it is the back. It’s probably not going to be finished until next January.

In other, other news, NaBloPoMo is almost over. I wonder if I can hold out till the end.

Snow is FUN

Well, it looks like it’s just about time for me to hibernate.

I’ll just turn this comforter into a cocoon and I’ll be all set.

Don’t worry, I can eat turkey and unwrap gifts in my sleep.

Just funnel some water into my mouth occasionally, please.

Sculpturing

I think I got the cement mixed correctly this time.

My gloves were too loose and, thus, there are wrinkle marks in my cement lump. It shouldn’t really matter, as I am sanding and carving it later.

Now, I just have to wait for it to dry a little more.
